Responsibilities:
Company’s Sales Target: Sales Managers Must Ensure That The Company’s Overall Sales Target Must Be Met, Meetings Should Be Held And An Effective Strategy Must Be Prepared. Thereafter, It Is The Managers’ Responsibility To Keep The Progress Of The Target On Track.
Sales Team Discipline: Sales Managers Must Ensure That The Sales Team Follows All The Discipline Norms Mentioned In BBH Rule Book. Sales Managers Must Abide By These Rules Without Failure. In Absence Of Service Managers/service/training Managers, Sales Managers Can Look After The Disciplinary Acts Of Other Department Executives.
Market & Product Knowledge: Sales Managers Are Expected To Have Good Product Knowledge About The Destinations, Current Affairs, And All The Information Related To Office Work. Should Have Knowledge Of “what’s Going On In The Sales Market And Which Government Policies Can Affect The Sales Market.”
Supervision & Tackling Crises: It Is A Responsibility To Supervise The TLs In Their Work. Also, Low-sale Crises, Arguments Among TLs, Clash Query Scenarios, Or Any Other Work Related To Sales, Are Supposed To Be Handled By Sales Managers. In Rare Cases, Sales Managers Can Also Interfere With The Guest’s Services Along With The Other Department Heads.
Reports, Updates & Crosschecking: Team’s Day/weekly/monthly Reports, Margin & Invoices, Query And Software Updates, Website Chats, Etc Must Be Reviewed Thoroughly By The Sales Manager. For Any Error In The Work, Sales Managers Will Be As Much As Responsible As The TL. After Summing Up The Details, Sales Managers Must Prepare An Overall Sales Report And The Executive’s Sales Performa For Each Month.
Resources For The Team: To Ensure That The Sales Team Does Not Lack Any Kind Of Essential Resources, Sales Managers Should Coordinate With The Resource Manager. This Includes Allocating New Tools And Smooth Working Of PCs/ Laptops, Stationery, Cell Phones, Payment Gateways, Software, Apps, Emails, Sufficient Service Options, Etc That Can Delay/affect The Performance Of The Team.
Sales And Time Management: Must Manage The Team's Time In A Productive Way Rather Than Wasting It On Unnecessary Activities. Sales Managers Can Instruct The Teams, On Where And How Much Time To Dedicate To A Particular Task.
Sales Announcements: It Is The Sales Manager’s Duty To Make Announcements About Sales Targets, Achieved Goals, Motivate The Sales Team, Sales Policies, And Changes In The Sales Working System.
