Terms & Conditions

Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services offered by Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd. By booking any service (tour packages, transport, accommodation, ticketing, etc.), you accept and agree to abide by these terms.

1. Booking & Payment Policy 

Tour Packages:

  • 50% advance payment is required at the time of booking.
  • The remaining 50% must be paid 1–7 days before travel or on arrival, as per prior agreement.

Flight / Train / Bus Tickets:

  • 100% advance payment is mandatory for any ticket reservations.

Payment Modes:

  • Website: www.mountainschaintravel.com
  • Net Banking / Credit-Debit Cards / UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm)
  • SBI and HDFC Secure Gateways
  • Cash deposits at our office or in company bank accounts (SBI, HDFC, UCO)
  • EMI options available on select payment gateways

 2. Transportation Services

  • Cab services are provided on a point-to-point basis, not on disposal.
  • Local sightseeing timings: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Pick-up and drop should be from hotels within 9–10 km of the main city. Extra distance may lead to additional charges.
  • AC will not be operated in hill areas unless agreed upon. Charges for AC usage in such areas are extra.
  • If the vehicle is used beyond the stated hours, extra driver charges apply.

 3. Accommodation & Meals

  • Hotel check-in/check-out as per individual hotel policy.
  • Meals are served as per the hotel’s designated time slots. No refunds for unconsumed meals.
  • Hotels in regions like Himachal, Leh-Ladakh, Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and North East India are classified based on local conditions, cost, and service quality, not as per standard star ratings.
  • Facilities in remote or hill areas may not match urban city standards.

4. Tour Itinerary & Sightseeing

  • The company reserves the right to alter sightseeing schedules due to weather, local restrictions, monument closures, or time constraints.
  • Itinerary flow may change to ensure smooth execution of services.
  • There are no timing restrictions on arrival and departure days unless otherwise mentioned.
  • Sightseeing is time-bound. Extra sightseeing or personal detours may attract additional charges.

 5. Force Majeure & Unforeseen Circumstances

Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd. is not responsible for any service delays, interruptions, or cancellations caused due to:

  • Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, landslides, storms, etc.)
  • War, civil unrest, terrorist activity, or political instability
  • Epidemics, pandemics (including COVID-19 or future outbreaks), quarantine restrictions, or government-imposed travel bans
  • Road blockages, strikes, curfews, technical failures, or vehicle breakdowns
  • Sudden changes in government or local policies

In such scenarios:

  • Refunds are subject to supplier and vendor policies.
  • Additional charges may apply for extra arrangements.
  • The company shall not be held liable for compensation beyond what is recoverable from third-party providers (hotels, airlines, cab vendors, etc.).

6. Guest Responsibility & Conduct

  • All travelers (including children) must carry valid government-issued photo ID at all times.
  • Guests are expected to:
    • Maintain cleanliness (no littering/spitting)
    • Avoid smoking and drinking in public
    • Cooperate with local laws and customs
  • The company reserves the right to terminate services for guests violating safety or conduct guidelines, without refund.

7. Cancellations, Delays & Refunds

  • The company shall not be held liable for:
    • Tour delays due to traffic jams, strikes, weather, or blocked roads
    • Service unavailability due to last-minute restrictions or disasters
  • No refunds are applicable for:
    • Partial service usage
    • Last-minute cancellations not covered under vendor refund policies
  • In case of non-payment, the company holds the right to suspend or cancel the service without notice.
  • Post-confirmation discounts or adjustments will not be entertained.

8. Booking Confirmation & Vouchers

  • Services will be confirmed only after advance payment is received.
  • A formal booking/reservation voucher will be issued post-payment via email or WhatsApp.

 9. Amendments to Terms

Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any such changes will be updated on our website.

Jurisdiction Clause:

All disputes arising out of any service or booking with Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd. shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. No other courts shall have any jurisdiction, even if the customer resides or booked from outside Shimla.

-All legal matters are handled locally in Shimla courts (Civil Court or District Court, depending on case).
