  • Itinerary

    Day 01: Pickup From Shimla ➝ Chitkul / Sangla (225 km | 9 hrs)

    Welcome to your Himalayan winter journey! After an early morning pickup from Shimla, begin your drive in a sturdy 4x4 SUV, perfectly equipped for snowy mountain terrain. Travel through breathtaking valleys, snow-draped pine forests, and charming Himachali villages. Arrive in the beautiful Sangla Valley, surrounded by the Baspa River and mighty Kinner Kailash peaks. If the weather permits, continue to Chitkul – the last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibet border. Overnight Stay: Chitkul / Sangla

    Day 02: Chitkul / Sangla ➝ Tabo (Approx. 8–9 hrs)

    Drive along the Sutlej and Spiti Rivers via Karcham and Pooh. Visit Nako Lake (if weather permits) en route. Arrive in Tabo – known for its 1000-year-old monastery. Overnight stay in Tabo.

    Day 03: Tabo ➝ Kaza (Approx. 4–5 hrs)

    En route visit Dhankar Monastery (one of the oldest in Spiti). Enjoy the view of confluence of Spiti and Pin Rivers. Evening arrival in Kaza – the heart of Spiti Valley. Overnight stay at hotel / homestay in Kaza.

    Day 04: Kaza ➝ Pin Valley ➝ Kaza (Day Excursion)

    After breakfast, start early for Pin Valley National Park (subject to snow clearance). Explore Mudh Village – the last village in Pin Valley (if open). In case Pin Valley road is closed, explore the Losar side, capturing majestic snow peaks and frozen waterfalls. Return to Kaza by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Kaza.

    Day 05: Kaza Local Sightseeing – Komic / Hikkim / Langza (60–70 km)

    Explore the famous high-altitude circuit of Spiti: Komic: World’s highest village connected by motorable road. Hikkim: World’s highest post office – send yourself a postcard! Langza: The fossil village with Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Return to Kaza for overnight stay

    Day 06: Kaza ➝ Kalpa (200 km | 7–8 hrs)

    Drive back along the Spiti River, crossing Tabo and Pooh. Reach Kalpa by evening – enjoy sunset views over Mt. Kinner Kailash. Dinner and overnight stay in Kalpa.

    Day 7: Kalpa to Shimla Drop | 240KM 8/9Hrs

    Morning: After breakfast in Kalpa, begin your drive to Shimla, covering approximately 240 km in 8–9 hours. En route, enjoy lunch at a popular roadside restaurant near Rampur. Nearest Airport: Jubbarhatti Airport (Shimla) – about 23 km from the city.

Limited Flights: Very few direct flights operate due to weather and short runway.

Best Option: Fly to Chandigarh Airport (IXC) (120 km from Shimla) or Delhi Airport (DEL), then continue by road/train.

From Chandigarh → Shimla: 3.5–4.5 hours by car/taxi.

From Delhi → Shimla: 7–8 hours by car or Volvo bus.

By Train

Nearest Broad Gauge Station: Kalka (85 km from Shimla)
