    Day 1: Dehradun – Guptkashi

    Welcome to your Ek Dham Yatra! Upon arrival at Dehradun Airport, you will be greeted and assisted by a Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd. representative. After a warm welcome, drive to Guptkashi, a serene town nestled in the Mandakini River Valley. Overnight stay: Hotel in Guptkashi.

    Day 2: Guptkashi – Kedarnath

    After an early breakfast, drive to Sonprayag. From Sonprayag, begin your trek to Kedarnath (3,584 meters) either on foot, by pony, or via Doli service. Tour members are advised to carry personal medicines, heavy woolens, toiletries, and other essentials for an overnight stay at Kedarnath. En Route Highlights: Gaurikund: Located 5 km from Sonprayag at an altitude of 1,982 meters, Gaurikund offers a natural hot water spring and the revered Gauri Temple. This sacred site is associated with Goddess Parvati’s penance to win Lord Shiva’s heart. At Kedarnath: Visit the sacred Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, nestled against the breathtaking Kedarnath mountain range. According to legend, the Pandavas sought redemption here after the Mahabharata war. The temple holds a deep connection to Lord Shiva's Panch Kedar manifestations.     2. The company reserves the right to reschedule sightseeing days to ensure the smooth execution of tours. All guests must carry a valid Indian government-issued photo address proof, including for children.
    3. Please provide your pick-up and drop-off times.
    4. For those booking only the cab service, please book or look for hotels within a 9 to 10 km radius of the main city to avoid extra travel charges. Cab operator service hours for local sightseeing are from 09:00 AM to 07:00 PM. For safety reasons, please avoid late-night walks. If the vehicle is used late at night, additional compensation for the driver will be required. Please consider all sightseeing activities as per the time and travel schedule. There are no timing restrictions on arrival and departure days.
    5. Please respond by return mail so we can proceed with the advance booking formalities. Upon reflecting the amount in our account, we will send you a reservation voucher.
    6. Help us keep our surroundings clean by avoiding littering, spitting, drinking, and smoking in public places and in all aspects (advisory only).
    7. AC is complimentary in flat areas, but in hill stations, AC will not be used (mostly for North India and North East regions). All vehicles hired are on a point-to-point basis and not on disposal. If AC services are required in hill areas, it will be on a direct payment basis.
    8. Sightseeing days may need to be rescheduled due to the closing of any monument on a particular day to ensure the smooth execution of tours.
    9. Check-in and check-out times are as per hotel policies.
    10. Meal timings must be followed as instructed by the hotels. We shall not be responsible for any un-availed meals.
    11. In case of non-payment, either advance or remaining, the company has the right to stop services.
    12. We shall not be responsible for any cancellation of cabs or buses due to bad weather and are not liable for it.
    13. In Himachal, Leh Ladakh, Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and North East, the facilities of hotels, services, aids, etc., cannot be matched to developed destinations. Hotels in these regions are categorized based on location, services, and cost, and not as per star categorization (1*, 2*, 3*, 4*, 5*, etc.).

    2. Travel Documents: It is the responsibility of the traveler to ensure that all necessary travel documents, including passport, visa, and travel insurance, are in order.

    4. The company shall not be responsible for any delays or cancellations due to heavy traffic jams, blocked roads, technical faults, strikes, natural disasters, or any unforeseen events. Such situations may also require extra services at additional costs.
    5. Reservation Policy for Package Booking
    6. To secure your package booking, an initial payment of 50% is required at the time of reservation.
    7. The remaining 50% of the package cost will be collected either upon arrival on the first day of the tour or 1-7 days prior to the trip.

    9. For flight, train, or bus bookings, a 100% payment is required to confirm the reservation.

How To Reach

By Air:

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, located about 240 km from Kedarnath. Regular flights connect Dehradun with major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Upon arrival, travelers can continue their journey by road to Guptkashi or Sonprayag.

By Train:

The closest major railway stations are:

  1. Haridwar Railway Station (approximately 240 km away)
  2. Rishikesh Railway Station (approximately 220 km away)
  3. Both stations are well-connected to major cities across India. From there, taxis and buses are available to reach Guptkashi/Sonprayag.

By Road:

Kedarnath is accessible by road up to Sonprayag. Regular buses and private taxis operate from Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh to Guptkashi and Sonprayag. From Sonprayag, pilgrims travel to Gaurikund (by local transport) and then trek 16 km to Kedarnath.

Trek/Helicopter Services:

  1. From Gaurikund, the 16 km trek to Kedarnath can be done on foot, by pony, or Doli.
  2. Helicopter services to Kedarnath are available from Phata, Sersi, Guptkashi, and Dehradun (subject to weather and availability).
