Upon arrival at Leh Kushok Bakula Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude. In the evening, if your health permits, you can take a leisurely stroll through Leh Market and visit the Shanti Stupa to enjoy stunning sunset views over the city. This day allows your body to adjust and prepares you for the adventures ahead.
Today, you'll visit the famous Magnetic Hill, known for its optical illusion of cars appearing to roll uphill, followed by a visit to Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a serene and spiritually significant site. Next, you'll explore Sangam, the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers, offering breathtaking views. In the afternoon, you'll explore the Hall of Fame, an army museum showcasing the history and bravery of Indian soldiers. After a full day of sightseeing, you'll return to Leh in the evening for an overnight stay.
Today, you will drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass, standing at 17,982 feet, one of the highest motorable passes in the world, offering spectacular panoramic views. Upon arrival, visit the historic Diskit Monastery, renowned for its impressive statue of Maitreya Buddha. In the afternoon, enjoy a fun camel ride across the scenic Hunder Sand Dunes, a unique desert landscape in the cold mountains. You will then spend the night in Nubra Valley, either at a comfortable hotel or a cozy camp, immersing yourself in the stunning natural surroundings.
Drive to Pangong Lake via the Shyok route, enjoying stunning views of the changing blue waters. Stay overnight in a camp near the lake.
Experience an early sunrise at Pangong Lake, soaking in the breathtaking views. Then, drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass. En route, visit Hemis and Thiksey Monasteries. Overnight in Leh.
