  • Itinerary

    Day 1: Dehradun to Gangotri

    Arrive in Dehradun by 6 AM via overnight Volvo or train from New Delhi. After a quick morning tea at the cab stand, we begin our journey towards Gangotri. Along the way, we stop for breakfast and lunch at scenic locations. As we drive through charming apple village Harsil and the stunning Bhaironghati, known for its dramatic gorges, we arrive in Gangotri by evening. We attend the evening Ganga Aarti at the Gangotri temple, followed by a final check of our backpacks and trekking gear.

    Day 2: Gangotri to Bhojkharak

    After an early breakfast, we begin our trek from Gangotri to Bhojkharak. The trail is lined with beautiful Birch trees, historically used in ancient India for writing sacred texts. After crossing the distinctive spider wall, we set up camp. Tea, soup, snacks, and dinner will be prepared at the campsite. We take a leisurely walk around the camp, capturing photos of the majestic snow-capped peaks.

    Day 3: Bhojkharak to Kedarkharak

    The first kilometer is relatively easy, but the trek to Kedarkharak then becomes more challenging, with steep sections and rough terrain. During the hike, keep an eye out for blue sheep. Kedarkharak, our second base camp, is situated in a beautiful meadow with panoramic views of Garhwal Himalayan peaks like Bhrigupanth and Thalaysagar.

    Day 4: Kedarkharak to Kedartal

    The final stretch to Kedartal takes us through rocky terrain, with cairns marking the path. This 5 km trek typically takes around 2 to 2.5 hours to complete. Reaching the stunning Kedartal Lake, surrounded by snow-covered mountains, offers a rewarding view that makes all the effort worthwhile.

    Day 5: Kedartal - Bhojkharak - Kedarkharak - Gangotri

    After breakfast, we begin our descent from Kedartal, retracing our steps back to Gangotri. A packed lunch will be provided along the way. We arrive at Gangotri by evening for a well-deserved rest.

    Day 6: Gangotri to Dehradun

    After breakfast, we leave Gangotri and head back to Dehradun. We reach Dehradun by evening, where you can board a Volvo or train for the return journey to New Delhi.

    7. Items of Personal Nature: Personal clothing, trekking equipment (except what’s provided), and other personal items not included in the package.

    2. The company reserves the right to reschedule sightseeing days to ensure the smooth execution of tours. All guests must carry a valid Indian government-issued photo address proof, including for children.

    4. For those booking only the cab service, please book or look for hotels within a 9 to 10 km radius of the main city to avoid extra travel charges. Cab operator service hours for local sightseeing are from 09:00 AM to 07:00 PM. For safety reasons, please avoid late-night walks. If the vehicle is used late at night, additional compensation for the driver will be required. Please consider all sightseeing activities as per the time and travel schedule. There are no timing restrictions on arrival and departure days.
    5. Please respond by return mail so we can proceed with the advance booking formalities. Upon reflecting the amount in our account, we will send you a reservation voucher.
    6. Help us keep our surroundings clean by avoiding littering, spitting, drinking, and smoking in public places and in all aspects (advisory only).
    7. AC is complimentary in flat areas, but in hill stations, AC will not be used (mostly for North India and North East regions). All vehicles hired are on a point-to-point basis and not on disposal. If AC services are required in hill areas, it will be on a direct payment basis.
    8. Sightseeing days may need to be rescheduled due to the closing of any monument on a particular day to ensure the smooth execution of tours.
    9. Check-in and check-out times are as per hotel policies.
    10. Meal timings must be followed as instructed by the hotels. We shall not be responsible for any un-availed meals.
    11. In case of non-payment, either advance or remaining, the company has the right to stop services.
    12. We shall not be responsible for any cancellation of cabs or buses due to bad weather and are not liable for it.
    13. In Himachal, Leh Ladakh, Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and North East, the facilities of hotels, services, aids, etc., cannot be matched to developed destinations. Hotels in these regions are categorized based on location, services, and cost, and not as per star categorization (1*, 2*, 3*, 4*, 5*, etc.).

    6. To secure your package booking, an initial payment of 50% is required at the time of reservation.
    7. The remaining 50% of the package cost will be collected either upon arrival on the first day of the tour or 1-7 days prior to the trip.

    3. -If cancelled between 15-29 days prior to departure: 50% of the total tour cost will be deducted.

How To Reach

By Train:

  1. Train: You can take a train from New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) to Dehradun Railway Station. Several trains run daily, such as the Shatabdi Express and Nanda Devi Express. The journey takes around 5-7 hours.
  2. Once you reach Dehradun, you will be picked up by the trek organizers and transported to Gangotri.

By Bus:

  1. Volvo or Deluxe Bus: You can take an overnight Volvo or deluxe bus from New Delhi (ISBT or Majnu ka Tila) to Dehradun. The journey usually takes around 6-8 hours.
  2. Once you reach Dehradun, the trek begins with a road trip to Gangotri.

By Air:

  1. Flight: You can fly from Indira Gandhi International Airport (Delhi) to Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun). The flight takes around 45 minutes.
  2. From Jolly Grant Airport, you can take a taxi or arranged transport to Dehradun city for the start of the trek.
